Four members of the Maine House of Representatives met with Public Utilities Chairman Phil Bartlett on Monday, Sept. 23 to demand that Central Maine Power be held fully accountable for the billing and metering errors that have cost individual customers thousands of dollars in overcharges since the utility rolled out its error-prone “smart” system in late 2017.

Changes Afoot for St. Philip’s in Wiscasset

Monhegan Gets Coastal Community Planning Grant
The Municipal Planning Assistance Program, a division of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry’s Bureau of Resource Information and Land Use Planning, on Tuesday, Sept. 24 announced the award of nearly $145,000 to four projects through its Coastal Community Grant program.
