Damariscotta Police Investigate Church Street Burglary
The Damariscotta Police Department is investigating a burglary of a Church Street residence and the theft of approximately $200 in coins, as well as a Vicodin prescription, sometime between Dec. 7-10.

Waldoboro Tree Lighting to Go On as Planned
Waldoboro’s annual tree lighting at the town office will go on as planned on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m., according to Town Manager Linda-Jean Briggs.
Commissioners Approve Sheriff’s Budget, Talk Broadband Connection
In the final minutes of the Tuesday, Dec. 2 Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting, a vote was taken on the sheriff’s office budget for 2015. A budget of $2,724,898 was unanimously approved, resolving one of the final outstanding items in the county budget.

Local Volunteers Mentor Restorative Justice Participants
Volunteer mentors in Lincoln County are helping rehabilitate young offenders with restorative rather than punitive justice.
Restorative justice offers a conceptual framework for understanding harm to relationships and steps that move toward repairing the harm and healing the relationships, according to the Restorative Justice Project of the Midcoast website.

Wiscasset Police Seek Local Man Following High Speed Pursuit
Wiscasset Police are currently looking for a Wiscasset man who allegedly eluded apprehension following a high speed pursuit this morning.
Divorces
Dolores Emerson of Orlando, Fla. and Robert L. Emerson of Boothbay were granted a divorce on Oct. 29. They were married in Boothbay Harbor on Sept. 28, 1991. Name changed to Dolores Brewer.
Malfunctioning Sprinkler System Displaces Four Chase Point Residents
Five rooms were damaged due to a malfunctioning sprinkler system at Chase Point Assisted Living Facility in Damariscotta late Tuesday night. Due to extensive water damage, four residents had to be relocated to different rooms within the facility, according to Scott Shott, LincolnHealth vice president of development and community relations.
Midcoast Counties on Verge of Mutual-aid Agreement for Law Enforcement
Sheriff Todd Brackett submitted a draft mutual aid agreement to the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners at the board’s Dec. 2 meeting that would enable Knox, Kennebec, Sagadahoc, Waldo, and Lincoln counties to share jurisdiction and resources in less-than-catastrophic events.

‘Comanche’ Runner-Up in Major Yacht Race
The East Boothbay-built yacht Comanche finished second to a record-breaking performance by Wild Oats XI in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race Friday-Sunday, Dec. 26 to 28.
