The shared programs in AOS 93 are under examination as officials consider changes to the 2015-2016 budget model, but the Alternative Classroom for Educational Services program, headquartered at the Great Salt Bay Community School in Damariscotta, is still hard at work giving all students a chance at learning.
NWS: Unsettled Weather Tuesday Night into Wednesday
Lincoln County should see some unsettled weather overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. While no warnings or advisories have been issued by the NWS for Lincoln County at the time of this posting, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the counties just inland of Lincoln County. Area residents can expect overnight precipitation to start as sleet or snow, leaving up to 2 inches of accumulation, before warmer temps move in and all precipitation changes over to rainfall, most likely melting any accumulation quickly, according to the NWS.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Nov. 26, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of a theft of a catalytic converter (value: $600) in the Somerville area. The complainant stated that sometime between Nov. 23 and Nov. 26, someone(s) stole the converter from his 1993 Toyota pickup truck. Further investigation to follow if leads develop.
Alna Selectmen Issue Call for Head Tide Dam Committee

Updated: NWS Issues Advisory; Forecast Goes from Rain to Icy Mix
For the second time in as many days the National Weather Service issued an advisory for areas surrounding Lincoln County, but not specifically for Lincoln County. And for the second time the forecast degraded until a Winter Weather Advisory was finally issued as cold, sometimes icy, precipitation overspread the area on Saturday morning. The Winter Weather Advisory warns that a mix of precipitation will continue to affect Lincoln County through the early afternoon hours and may cause icy build up on roads and power lines.
