Two Dresden men face up to 20 years in federal prison if they are convicted of criminal charges filed in the U.S. District Court in Portland June 17.

An Edgecomb man has been summoned for alleged participation in a high-speed pursuit ending in a rollover in Wiscasset on May 9.

The man arrested by Waldoboro Police on June 13 and charged with Aggravated Animal Cruelty in regard to the alleged abuse of a dog by shooting pellets or BB’s into the dog’s skin has been identified as Aaron Armstrong, 32, of Waldoboro.

Newcastle boatbuilder Chip Holmes has announced the launch of a unique boat that will soon ply the Damariscotta River, providing passengers with a great platform to enjoy a river cruise, or explore scenic river islands. Waldoboro Police have made an arrest in the case of Lady, the stray black Labrador-mix dog whose body was found to be riddled with round pellets after being found as a stray in Waldoboro and taken to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.

The woman driving a Ford van that left the roadway and struck a tree near the entrance of Damariscotta Lake State Park on June 27 was transported to the hospital for injuries, according to Jefferson Fire Chief Walter Morris.
