Governor Paul LePage has directed the United States and State of Maine flags be flown at half-staff Tuesday in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week.

The Lincoln County News experienced a computer crash around noon Monday, resulting in the loss of approximately 50 emails sent to the newspaper between Friday afternoon, May 4, and Monday morning, May 7.

The Damariscotta Police Department is warning citizens of a text message scam targeting area cell phones. The scam warns the recipients that their credit card has been terminated and they should call 207-502-1145.
