NWS Upgrades Alert to Winter Storm Warning — Storm Should Arrive Sat. Mid-Evening
A Winter Storm Watch issued by The National Weather Service (NWS) for Lincoln County in regard to a storm system forecast to impact the area beginning Saturday night has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning, meaning that severe weather is either imminent or approaching. The first line of the storm front should arrive in Lincoln County during the mid-evening hours, according to the NWS forecast. Any rainfall should change over to snowfall or an icy mix as the night progresses. Snowfall should continue through the night, heavy at times, and start to taper off Sunday morning.
