In what seems to be an ever-changing forecast regarding a storm scheduled to visit Lincoln County on Thursday, the National Weather Service (NWS) has now issued a Winter Storm Warning.

Residents who sued the town of Waldoboro over the method of a special town meeting have filed the first argument in their appeal with the state superior court.

The Wiscasset Board of Selectmen narrowly voted down a motion that would have required the Town’s website to manage and host information provided by the Wiscasset Educational Research Panel, a citizen’s group tasked with investigating options for withdrawing from RSU 12.

A Jan. 11 Community First forum about substance abuse in Lincoln County attracted a small, but concerned and dedicated, group.

The Edgecomb Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, and Code Enforcement Officer Marian Anderson met for a special meeting Jan. 5 to discuss measures for improving dialogue between the public and the three offices.

On Dec. 27, Deputy Brent Barter received a complaint of criminal mischief to a mailbox on Bog Road in Dresden. While responding and investigating this complaint, Deputy Barter found damage to five other mailboxes in the area. Further investigation if leads develop.

Waldoboro Police arrested two men last week as a result of an investigation into a burglary in Waldoboro in December.

A Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor man who pleaded guilty to voter fraud in 2010 has successfully completed his community service. His plea has been withdrawn and the felony conviction has been dropped.
