The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (LCEMA) has sent out an urgent request for residents to stay off of local roads unless it is absolutely necessary they travel. Not only is it safer for motorists to stay home, but clear roads make it easier for emergency personnel to travel and snowplows to keep up with the snowfall.
Damariscotta Man Left $130,000 To Town
The late Richard Else, formerly of Chase Point in Damariscotta, left $130,625 to the town of Damariscotta in his will.
According to Damariscotta Town Manager Greg Zinser, the town first heard of the bequest on Feb. 8, 2010, receiving the funds in July 2010.
