Waldoboro Votes For Change In Municipal Election
Waldoboro voters elected several town officials at the polls on June 14. In several elections, the candidates from the Concerned Citizens of Waldoboro (C-COW) ousted incumbents. As of press time, town officials were still double-checking the vote count for these races, Town Clerk Linda Perry said.

Edgecomb Selectman To Assist In Missouri Tornado Recovery
The Chairman of the Edgecomb Board of Selectmen, Jack Sarmanian, is preparing to travel to Joplin, Mo. to assist in recovery efforts after the town was devastated by an F-5 tornado on May 22 that killed 141 people. Sarmanian, who has an extensive background in mental health administration, will work in a volunteer capacity for the Red Cross after recently completing a training course.
