Lt. John A. Allen reports for the Wiscasset Police Department for the weeks of July 10 through August 2:
There were 201 incident reports that were taken and/or investigated; of these were – four burglaries, 10 citizen assists, three thefts, 15 motorist assists, one fraud, 11 business assists, one disorderly conduct, 16 law enforcement agency assists, three harassments, 46 property checks, 10 suspicious activities, two ambulance assists, seven business alarms, 33 traffic offenses and/or erratic operations, three family altercations, 11 motor vehicle accidents – seven non-reportable, one trespass, two unwanted subjects, four arrests/and or summons, two loud noise complaints, two animal problems, two 9-1-1 hang-up checks, one criminal mischief, one threatening, one probation violation, one pedestrian assist, one unwanted subject and one loud noise complaint.
Police Arrest Five For Alleged Forgeries
Police have arrested four local men and a Palermo man on charges of aggravated forgery, a class B felony, as a result of a cooperative investigation on the part of several county and municipal departments and state police.

Sisters Reunited After 50 Plus Years Apart
Two long lost sisters Mary Sophia McIntyre, 59 of Waldoboro and Mary Ellen Kennedy, 62 of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick Canada, were reunited in Waldoboro on July 29. They were separated as very young children when the State removed them from their home and took them away from their parents over 50 years ago.
