The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an advisory regarding a steady but light snowfall that began Wednesday morning in Lincoln County and other midcoast areas. While much of the state will see only a dusting, this snowfall seems centered right on the midcoast, and may leave 1-3 inches of accumulation, with peninsulas getting the lion’s share, according to the NWS. No high winds or extraordinarily heavy snowfall is forecast for this event, and there have been no school or business closings or cancellations.

Total snowfall accumulation for this storm is presently forecast at 6-8 inches, according to the NWS, which also warns of northerly winds gusting to 35 mph.
