The public is invited to a series of lectures and conversations on topics of interest to the residents of Lincoln County. Called County Conversations, these one-hour events are scheduled for the second Tuesdays of each month from February to April at the First Baptist Church, 8 Back Meadow Road, Nobleboro.
Ice Fishing Tournament on Feb. 9 and 10
The American Legion is sponsoring a statewide ice fishing tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9 and 10. Weigh-ins will be held at the Wells-Hussey American Legion Post No. 42, at 257 Main St. in Damariscotta, at 6 p.m.
Winter Fest at DRA’s Round Top Farm is Feb. 10
Damariscotta River Association is partnering with Great Salt Bay Community School’s PTO to host Winter Fest, a free, family-friendly event at DRA’s Round Top Farm in Damariscotta on Sunday, Feb. 10 from noon-3 p.m.
Oxbow Winterfest is Jan. 26
People are invited to come warm up at Oxbow Brewing Co., at 274 Jones Woods Road in Newcastle, this winter for its annual Winterfest from noon-7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. One can come out to snowshoe, ski, skate, or sled. There will be six beers on draft, fire pits going, plus wood-fired pizza with Village Idiot Pizzeria all day.
Kids Yoga, Cooking, Drumming at Healthy Kids Play Groups
For those who have children who aren’t in school yet and are looking for things to do, Healthy Kids play groups will be adding kid’s yoga, instant-pot mac ’n’ cheese cooking, and kids African drumming to the many activities offered at the weekly play groups.
Tickets for ‘Through the Pages’ on Sale at Skidompha
Tickets are now on sale for $10 apiece at Skidompha Library’s front desk for the “Through the Pages” costume ball on Friday, Feb. 22.
Ladies Night at Aboca
Coastal Women’s Connection is hosting Ladies Night at Aboca Beads in Damariscotta on Tuesday, Jan. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This event is $15 to attend and will offer female professionals in the Midcoast region an opportunity to mix and mingle while creating a piece of jewelry they can keep or gift to one of their loved ones.
Skidompha to Host Benefit for Lincoln County News Digital Archive Project
Skidompha Library will host the “Through the Pages” costume ball on Friday, Feb. 22 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. This costume ball will benefit the Lincoln County News digital archive project. Skidompha has independently raised $40,000 to create a searchable online archive of Lincoln County newspapers dating all the way back to 1870. This will be the first time that back issues will be available to the public digitally, providing an invaluable resource for researchers, historians, and the community.

St. Giles’ Schedules Free Supper for Jan. 5
