The Friends of the Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races group will host the third annual dodgeball tournament on Saturday, March 10, to benefit the 2018 Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races in August at Bristol Consolidated School.

Historical Society to Show Old Photos from Archive
In the two years since forming its digital images archive, the Old Bristol Historical Society has collected a little more than 2,500 of its ultimate goal of 10,000 images. On Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Bristol Mills Congregational Church, co-presidents Chuck Rand and Belinda Osier will share images from the archive while at the same time demonstrating how newly purchased software will enable the public to search Bristol’s visual past.
Free Luncheon in Waldoboro

Chewonki Program at Bremen Library
The Chewonki Foundation is bringing its traveling natural history program to the Bremen Library, located at 204 Waldoboro Road in Bremen, on Wednesday, Feb. 21st at 9 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. Chewonki will feature a program called “Animal Adaptations: Survival in the Wild.”
Sheepscott Community Supper Canceled
The Sheepscott Community Church Board has decided to cancel the community supper on Saturday, Feb. 10, as a result of weather forecasts. Safety is the primary concern and the board wants to ensure it is not putting anyone at risk. Though board members will miss the opportunity to share a meal and break bread together, they look forward to next month’s community supper on Saturday, March 10.
‘Helping Our Children to Thrive’ Panel in Nobleboro
The public is invited to “Helping Our Children to Thrive,” a panel discussion to provide support and resources for parents and others toward creating an environment for the well-being of children. Benefit Buffet for Whitefield Elementary
Aunt Gin’s Restaurant in Whitefield will host a benefit pizza and pasta buffet for Whitefield Elementary School students on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 4:30-7 p.m. Included in the buffet price is pizza, pasta, and soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased separately.
Hike with PWA, DRA on Great Maine Outdoor Weekend
On Saturday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon, one can celebrate the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend with a hike at Crooked Farm Preserve in Bristol, led jointly by Pemaquid Watershed Association and Damariscotta River Association. Join the fun and hike or snowshoe, weather depending, on the beautiful trails along the Pemaquid River with Jim Hatch, PWA preserve steward, and DRA Education Director Sarah Gladu.
