Steelgraves Magic Show at LA on March 4
Markus and Angelique Steelgrave have brought wonder and excitement to millions of people throughout New England and beyond. The Steelgraves will make a rare Maine public appearance at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 4 in the gymnasium at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle as a benefit for Jefferson Village School’s Blessings in a Backpack program.
Midwinter Beekeeping Workshop at Morris Farm
The Knox Lincoln County Beekeepers group will hold its midwinter workshop on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. It will be at the Morris Farm, 156 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset. Morning refreshments and coffee will be provided by the group. There is no cost, but donations are accepted. Refreshment donations also accepted.
Winter Gospel Sing in Waldoboro

People are encouraged to get outside this weekend to enjoy some wintry fun with Midcoast Conservancy. Two events are scheduled as part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend: a Winter Skills Day in Liberty on Friday, Feb. 3, and a Fat Bike Demo Day at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson on Sunday, Feb. 5.

Benefit Supper to Help Rebuild Bailey Home
A community potluck benefit supper will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, from 5-7 p.m., to help rebuild the home of Merrill and Shirley Bailey, which was destroyed by fire. DRA Offers Midcoast Stewards Program
For those with a passion for conservation, the Damariscotta River Association is offering a unique overview of natural-resource topics and stewardship-related activities along the Midcoast of Maine. Coordinated by the DRA and maintained through partnerships with many area conservation organizations and state agencies, the Midcoast Stewards program offers participants the opportunity to learn about natural and cultural history from a number of professionals in natural-resource management fields, as well as an invitation to serve local conservation organizations as a volunteer.
