Virginia M. Higgins, 91, of Lisbon, passed away at the Freeport Nursing and Rehabilitation facility on Sept. 5 where she was a patient for a short time.

Wilhelmus “Wil” Kool, 87, of Alna, passed away at his home on Sept. 27, with his wife of 65 years by his side.

Cindy Jane Oconnor (Gray) passed away of medical complications at the Parkview Hospital in Brunswick on Sept. 13.

Gladys Therza “Gug” Lakin passed away on the afternoon of Aug. 31 with her daughters and beloved Cove’s Edge caregivers at her side. She was 93 and is now rearranging Heaven to her liking.

Lillian Klein, 97, passed away on the morning of Sept. 26 at the Cove’s Edge Nursing Facility in Damariscotta. Born on June 13, 1917 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Louis and Rose Brandman.

Robert D. Havenstein, 90, of Nobleboro, passed away peacefully at his home Sept. 14. He was born in Manhattan, N.Y. on May 2, 1924.

Gloria Simmons Knipe, 89, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Aug. 29.

Leverett B. Davis Sr., 100, passed away peacefully on the morning of Aug. 27 at the LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta.

Michele Moselle Kaufman, 65, of East Boothbay, died on Sept. 12 at her home following a three-year battle with ALS.

Susan June “Susie” Owen Harrington, 50, of Edgecomb and Boothbay, passed away peacefully Aug. 29 at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Nancy Butler Wilson, 87, died peacefully on the morning of Sept. 21 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

Donald Hugh Hardwick passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 10 with his devoted daughter Sandra by his side.

Joseph Frank Fodera, 91, of Boothbay Harbor, died Aug. 26 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. He was born Nov. 12, 1922 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Vincent and Vita Gioia Fodera.

Patrick R. Willis Sr., 66, of Somerville, died Sept. 27 at his home following a long illness.
