Judith Hayden Seredynski, 75, of Bristol, passed away on July 2 in hospice care, after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer. Judy was born in Hartford, Conn. on March 5, 1939 to Catherine and John Hayden.

Arthur ‘Bear’ D. Hopkins, 61, of Somerville, died unexpectedly at his home July 23 of natural causes from an illness he has battled over the past two years.

Norman Russell Brackett, 80, died on July 5 at the Togus Hospice Unit, after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.

A graveside service for Keith Bachelder of Edgecomb, who died April 7, will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 9 at Highland Cemetery in Edgecomb. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Edgecomb Town Hall.

Robert Michael Thompson, 64, of Boothbay, passed away peacefully on July 7 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with his loving family by his side.

Leon “Joe” Sonia, 74, of Wiscasset, passed away peacefully at Winship Green Nursing Center on July 4. He was born in Bath on Aug. 25, 1939, a son of Leon P. Sonia and Dorothy (Young) Sonia.

Thurman “Sam” W. Gould Jr., 82, passed away on June 16.

Thurman was the eldest son of Ivy and Thurman Gould Sr., and was born in Portsmouth, while his father was still in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Geoffrey J. Herrmann, 76, of Boothbay, passed away peacefully on June 9 at his home.

William “Bill” Russell, 82, of Round Pond, passed away on June 20 at his home with family by his side.
