Martha L. Jacobs, 78, of Brunswick died Oct. 28 at Parkview Hospital in Brunswick following a long illness.

Mike Rosenthal, of Round Pond, passed away Oct. 8. He was born Michael “Mike” Francis Rosenthal on Nov. 13, 1938 to Mina Barnett and Edward Marcus Rosenthal of Meriden, Conn.

Thomas S. Hoffmann, beloved composer, lost his life to a major myocardial infarction and arteriosclerosis on Oct. 15 at his home in Mariposa, Cal.

James H. McLaughlin, 76, of Round Pond, passed away on the evening of Sept. 29 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

Ethelyn Ralph Deery, 102, passed away on the morning of Oct. 28 at the Lincoln Home in Newcastle.

Loretta Boeche, 88, a retired newspaper reporter and editor and active volunteer in numerous area organizations, died Oct. 19 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.

Michael W. Merry, 64, of Stacyville-Millinocket, passed unexpectedly Sept. 28 while working in the woods.

Audrey Louise Clark Bartlett, 85, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

David L. McKown, an eighth generation native, (an endangered species) of the Boothbay Region passed away October 25, 2012, at his family’s camp in Township 28.

Peter McFarland, 67, who died early in the morning of Oct. 16, embodied all the characteristics of what used to be referred to as a Renaissance man.
