Marie Clark passed peacefully at sunset March 23. She led an active, vibrant life as an artist, a runner and a swimmer.

A memorial gathering for Geraldine Estelle Hagar, who passed away Feb. 1, will be held 2 p.m., Sat., March 31 at the Friends Meeting House (Quakers) on Belvedere Road in Damariscotta.

John “Jack” F. Schumacher, 83, passed away at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta on the morning of March 19.

Donna Layton, 69, of Wiscasset, passed away on Feb. 27 with her husband by her side.

Dr. James Morton Smith Sr., educator, historian, author, and former director of Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library, passed away peacefully at his home in Elkton, Md. on March 19 after a long illness.

Dorothy (Boudreau) Gallant, 82, of Dover, N.H., formerly of Round Pond, died peacefully on Feb. 28 after a brief stay at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Freemont, N.H. surrounded by loving family and dear friends.

Kenneth A. Schuler, 64, died March 22 at his home. He was born on April 2, 1947 in Floral Park, N.Y., the son of Clifford and Florence Schuler.

J. Emma Thomas (Munsey), 91, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away Feb. 28 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta after a period of failing health.

James A. Cook Jr., 85, of Damariscotta, formerly of North Hampton and Beverly, Mass., passed away at his home on March 20.

Aaliyah Ann Morales-Brewer, two-month-old infant daughter of Shawn Brewer and Alexiee Morales-McPhee, died Feb. 28 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.

On March 20, Christine B. Kennedy, a lifelong resident of Waldoboro, died peacefully at the age of 81. She is now at home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dorothy Rice Booth, 106, passed away peacefully at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor on March 1.

Mary T. Wolff, 70, of Waldoboro, passed away March 19 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

John W. Cokefair, 98, died peacefully at Purcell Hospice in Lady Lakes, Fla. on March 25 following a short illness.
