James Alfred Dowling, Sr., of North Whitefield, died Oct. 3 at home surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer.

Diana H. Bailey, 66, of Kensington, N.H., died at her home on Oct. 16 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Exeter, N.H. on May 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Perfect) Cooper.
