The election is over, but for many, the elation is not. Neither is the bitterness, the vitriolic rhetoric and name calling which continued even in its last hours. This, after an election, is unprecedented.

Let’s give thanks that we live in this great country, where food is plentiful, and a fresh meal is usually only a trip to the local grocery store away.

Voters weigh in on reorganization plans

Voters considered 18 school reorganization plans Nov. 4 and approved at least 12, according to preliminary election results.

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, and the Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice and Palliative Care Program would like to honor and thank all those who work to provide the best possible end-of-life care.

This is the time to thank a veteran.

Our right to disagree, to assemble, to protest, to burn flags, to petition our government, to post political signs on our lawn, has been bought and paid for by the sweat and blood of the men and women who came before us.

As a follow-up to letters that appeared in The Lincoln County News two months ago, I would like to report that a great dialogue has taken place concerning the floatplane issues mentioned in those letters.
