We have been watching this tempest about the proposal to build a mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan with some bemusement.
The Tipping Point
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Wiscasset Plaza, which includes Lil’ Mart, McDonald’s and First Federal Savings, was held Fri., Aug. 6. Some consider the plaza an eyesore; others a needed increase to our tax base and still others a welcomed convenience.
Astounded By The Response
This summer my life has been dramatically changed by a serious illness. It has been both alarming and disheartening.
