We give Thomas Steele-Maley credit; if he’s right, and no one will know for years exactly how right or wrong he is, he has dreamed up a model for a 21st-century education.
Dangerous Intersection
To the Editor:
My husband is a resident at the Harbor View Cottage up on the hill at Rt. 1. This is a very steep hill and it is difficult to see cars coming.
More Pressure On A Small Town
Most people from away come to Maine, I believe, because of the raw beauty Maine provides. Otherwise, why would Maine and its beautiful coast be such a draw for artists and photographers and “just getting away from city life” vacationers?
Such A Caring, Loving Environment
To the Editor:
My husband is a resident at the Harbor View cottage, an extension of the Lincoln Home for Alzheimer’s patients.
Don’t Bite The Hand That Feeds You!
Re: Stars Jewelry and Skidompha Library (July 22 LCN).
Obviously no one at this center of learning has even read “Dogs 101.” Two lessons to be learned: “Be loyal to your owner” (in this case fellow townspeople and merchants) and of course that real old one, “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”
Successful Enough For Another Sale
To the Editor:
The Bristol Area Lions Club would like to thank and congratulate the vendors who participated in the Bristol Flea Market, which took place this past weekend at Bristol School.
Vote for Deb
To the Editor:
Did you know that Deb Sanderson was running for State Representative?
Where Does Maine State Gas Tax Go?
To the Editor:
Have you ever driven on School Street in Damariscotta? Well I have and I do it on a daily basis.

To the Editor:

Dear Americans
To the Editor:
My dream started in Feb. 2009. That’s more than one and a half year ago.
I was 14 years old and at school, then I saw this information table with flyers about a “High School Year in the USA.” Sounded interesting for me and I began to read. Soon I came to the decision to go 10 months abroad.
Inspiring
To the Editor:
A few months ago I threw a bottle with a letter containing my name and phone number into the Damariscotta River at the Newcastle bridge.
The Best Ever
To the Editor:
Olde Bristol Days would not have been as successful as it was this year without the hard work and dedication of Bristol Parks Commissioner Gordon Benner.
There Has To Be A Meeting Of The Minds
To the Editor:
It has been a while since the LCN has published a letter to the Editor concerning Rt. 1 traffic going through Wiscasset.
GIVE ME LIBERTY OR NOT
We have been watching this tempest about the proposal to build a mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan with some bemusement.
