One of our strongest values is that of fairness. That’s why in March the Lincoln County Democratic Committee unanimously approved a statement calling on Governor LePage to reconsider his actions at the Dept. of Labor that disrespected Frances Perkins, her achievements, and legacy.

I have noticed the controversy that has developed yet again in the Town of Alna about where to take our trash. We had the same disagreement in 2004 and this was discussed and we had hearings and a special Town Meeting. The Citizens of Alna made the choice to stay with the Wiscasset Transfer Station.

My wife and I came home Monday from a visit with our kids to discover that someone had come into our home and stole around $1200 from us. It was more than just money. My wife nearly died in a motorcycle accident (which I witnessed) two years ago.

Ever had a really bad day? Ever fire off an email in anger, slam a desk drawer, snarl a response to a perfectly legitimate question or just out and out unload on the some poor innocent who crosses your path, simply because the person responsible for your ire is unavailable for the purpose?
