Someone educate me: I’ve lived here most of my life. I think I know a thing or two, maybe even three on some days. I do not know much about lobstering, but I am open to learning.
THE POCKETS OF LAST RESORT
In recent years, the question at the center of the Great American Debate concerns the role of government. What kind of government do we want?
A HARD BUT GOOD LIFE
We know of a lobsterman who has family living out of state. His relatives’ idea of vacation is to visit him and his family, grab a couple lobsters right off the boat and enjoy the feast in his yard overlooking the waters of the harbor out of which he works.
A Couple Of Questions Come To Mind
After hearing the flack this morning over Governor LePage’s comment on the IRS, a couple of questions, or so, come to mind.

I have been a Damariscotta cemetery trustee for the last 15 years. This volunteer position has been a very rewarding experience, knowing that keeping our cemeteries in excellent condition is one of basic examples of the integrity of our community.
BE SAFE AND CELEBRATE
We are expecting a loud Fourth of July.
Ever since the state legalized fireworks, would be celebrants and First Responders alike have had July 4 this year penciled in on their calendars. Independence Day is obviously the fireworks day of the year.

Yet Another Coffin Nail
Recently yet another coffin nail was pounded firmly, and with feigned politeness, into our beloved Lincoln County Community Theater. This is said with emphasis on the word “Community.”
