The Board of Selectmen voted, at their September 19th meeting, to change the dates of their regular monthly meetings. They will meet on the first and third WEDNESDAY of every month starting November 1, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

The Commissioner recently issued to Maine Oyster, Inc. of Freeport, Maine two 3-year leases, SHE LE3x and SHE LE4x, for bottom culture of American/Eastern oysters.

GSBSD will be flushing hydrants in the towns of Damariscotta and Newcastle during the next four weeks.

Pursuant to the Maine Dam Registration, Abandonment, and Water Level Act, 38 M.R.S. § 840(1), the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (Department) will be conducting an adjudicatory hearing (hearing) regarding the establishment of a water level regime for Dyer Long Pond in the Town of Jefferson. This proceeding is being initiated as a result of a petition filed with the Department by 35 littoral/riparian owners along Dyer Long Pond.
