Lincoln Academy girls basketball team defeated Erskine Academy 54-24 in the battle of the Lady Eagles in Newcastle Thursday night.

Lincoln Academy girls basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 40-28 win at Leavitt Tuesday night.

The third annual Dustin J. Osier Memorial Alumni Basketball games were held at Medomak Valley Saturday night. Old friends were re-acquainted with hugs, handshakes, and good natured fun in the annual event. All the funds raised through the games and raffles go to a scholarship fund in Osier’s name.

Friday after Thanksgiving is the traditional day for Lincoln Academy alumni to ‘come back to the nest’ to challenge the LA varsity and each other.

Wiscasset High School has started a wrestling club, under coach Ed Densmore. They began practice on Nov. 18.

Lincoln Academy presented their fall sports awards individually as teams this fall.

The annual LA Boosters auction will be held on Sat., Nov. 16 in the Lincoln Academy dining commons on Academy Hill in Newcastle.

Medomak Valley boys soccer team, under coach Brian Campbell, learned Nov. 5 they are the 2013 recipients of the Eastern Maine Class B Good Sportsmanship award.

The Coastal Dream Team will take on the Harlem Rockets on Fri., Nov. 15 at Medomak Valley High School. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Fourth seed Cape Elizabeth, with 15 seniors on their roster, put on a passing clinic for the Eagles in their 5-0 win over Lincoln Academy boys soccer team on Oct. 29 in Cape Elizabeth.
