Five Medomak Middle School wrestlers placed in the top four at the Pine Tree East wrestling championships, held at Belfast High School on Saturday to qualify for the Pine Tree State championships to be held at Brewer High School on March 27.
Carter And Groce Headed To National Games
Tamya Carter, of Waldoboro, and Will Groce, of Damariscotta, are warming up and getting in shape for the 2010 National Special Olympic Summer games, to be held in Lincoln, Neb. in late July. Both athletes compete with Team Mobius, and will represent Team Maine at the Summer Games.

Lincoln Girls Rally Over Rockland
Lincoln Academy girls rallied from behind to beat Rockland Tuesday night in Rockland. The Eagles took a 14-13 lead at the quarter, before getting into foul trouble in the 2nd period. Lincoln was charged with 25 fouls and Rockland 26 in the sloppy game.
Panthers Nip Eagles In Overtime
Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team nipped Lincoln Academy 60-56 in overtime on Feb. 4 in the two teams’ KVAC season finale in Newcastle. With the win, the Panthers finish the season with a 14-4 record. Lincoln ends their season with an 11-7 record.
