Lincoln Academy boys’ soccer team avenged last week’s loss to Medomak Valley Saturday night during their Homecoming match-up in Newcastle.

With nine seniors, the Lincoln Academy boys’ soccer team looks to contend in a very strong Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference this fall.

The weather cooperated on Sept. 5 in the 14th annual Damariscotta-Newcastle Lions Club and Rotary Club Golf Tournament. The tournament was a major fundraiser for both clubs.

Jefferson’s legendary baseball player, Don Bowman, will be inducted into the Midcoast Sportsman’s Hall of Fame posthumously, at the Rockland Elks Club on Oct. 17. The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m.
