South Bristol Wins Busline League Co-Ed Soccer Championship
South Bristol School defeated neighboring Bristol 2-1 on Sat., Oct. 18 to win the 2008 Busline League Co-ed soccer championship. The championship game was played in Rockland in cool temperatures, on a field much larger than either team was accustomed to playing on.
Tainter Benefit One-Pitch Softball Tournament
The KLW Umpires Association, along with Olympia Sports Center, is sponsoring a one pitch, double elimination co-ed softball tournament to benefit Art Tainter and his family, on Oct. 11 and 12. There will be an Oct. 13 rain date.
