Boothbay placed five scoring runners in the top 24 to win the Mt. Valley Conference boys’ cross-country championship Saturday morning at UMA in Augusta.

Woolwich 2 – Medomak 1

Calvin Robbins gave the River Hawks a 1-0 lead on a rebounded Jesse Slader shot, but Medomak Middle School could not hold off the Wildcats who scored two first half goals to win 2-1.

The Panthers picked up their 10th win of the season on Oct. 8 with a 5-2 win over Belfast in Waldoboro.

Medomak Valley girls’ cross-country team won the KVAC championship Saturday in Augusta.

Gardiner 1 – Lincoln 0

Christina Tonry made five saves for Lincoln, and J. Kestle 11 for Gardiner in the Tigers 1-0 win over Lincoln Academy.

Lincoln Academy boys’ soccer team wrapped up their KVAC season with a 3-2 win over Mt. View under the Friday night lights in Newcastle.

 

Lincoln Academy was not on their A game on Sept. 25 at Medomak Valley‘s home course in Rockland, shooting a team score of 191. 

Sixth ranked Wiscasset High School boys’ soccer team were upset 2-0 by number 11 Waynflete in the West Class B preliminaries in Wiscasset on Saturday.

Medomak Middle School picked up their second trophy of the year for their new trophy case on Sat., Oct. 18 at Rockland.

 

Medomak Valley cross-country teams came away from Lincoln Academy‘s Homecoming with a pair of wins in the rain on Sept. 26. The girls placed five scoring runners in the top seven, and the boys five in the top 16.

Lincoln Academy Lady Eagle soccer team defeated Oak Hill 1-0 in the West Class B preliminaries Friday in Newcastle.

South Bristol School defeated neighboring Bristol 2-1 on Sat., Oct. 18 to win the 2008 Busline League Co-ed soccer championship. The championship game was played in Rockland in cool temperatures, on a field much larger than either team was accustomed to playing on.

 

The KLW Umpires Association, along with Olympia Sports Center, is sponsoring a one pitch, double elimination co-ed softball tournament to benefit Art Tainter and his family, on Oct. 11 and 12. There will be an Oct. 13 rain date.
