Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has allegedly uncovered further information regarding where Loren St. Cyr, 20, of Jefferson was before he was struck by an unknown vehicle and killed on the night of Sept. 20, 2008.
According to LCSO Lt. Rand Maker, St. Cyr was in several places before his death on North Clary Rd. that night.
On March 2, LCSO Deputy Henry Grenier issued a summons on March 2 to Adam Olson, 29, of Jefferson for furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol. Maker said St. Cyr was in a place Olson had control of on Sept. 20, 2008 and Olson was allegedly responsible for providing this place for minors to consume alcohol. Olson is scheduled to appear in district court on April 29.
On Jan. 25, Deputies arrested Thomas C. Nolet, 20, of Gloucester, Mass. and charged him with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol. Maker said Nolet was also allegedly with St. Cyr prior to the accident and allegedly provided a place for him to consume alcohol.
As previously reported in The Lincoln County News, investigators allege physical and forensic evidence found at the scene indicates St. Cyr was struck by an unknown vehicle and was left lying helpless in the road. He was subsequently struck by another vehicle, whose driver contacted authorities at the time.
“This continues to show we are still talking to people and asking questions,” Maker said. “We’re not going away.”
Authorities with the LCSO are continuing in their investigation in efforts to locate the first vehicle and driver that hit St. Cyr and encourage anyone with further information to contact them at 882-7332. All information they receive will be kept confidential, Maker said.
