Starting Oct. 29, Atlantic Avenue in Boothbay Harbor will be reduced to one lane of alternating one-way traffic in order for Maine Dept. of Transportation crews to repair a collapsing slope alongside Atlantic Avenue.
DOT will be installing temporary signal lights and concrete barriers at the construction site, which is approximately one-half mile south of the Union Street/Atlantic Avenue intersection.
If construction goes as planned and there are no unexpected delays, Atlantic Avenue should be reopened to two-way traffic by Nov. 12.
