First responders from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and the Edgecomb Fire Dept. are presently on the scene of a traffic accident at the Eddy Rd. and Rt. 27 in Edegcomb.
The accident was first reported by a passing LCSO deputy at approximately 5:25 p.m.
Officials have closed Rt. 27 near the Eddy Rd. in order to facilitate assistance to the accident victims and conduct an investigation, and there is no estimate as to when the road may re-open.
