The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Watch and High Wind Warning in regard to a storm expected to roll into Lincoln County Sun. afternoon and batter the area through Mon. morning.
The Flood Watch warns of the potential of 2-4 inches of heavy rainfall to combine with snowmelt between Sun. afternoon and late Sun. night, according to the NWS.
The High Wind Warning begins at 5 p.m. on Sun. and continues through 7 a.m. Mon., according to the NWS. Sustained wind velocities are forecast to be 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph coming out of the east-southeast.
These weather conditions could mean tree limbs and wires down, raising the possibility of power outages in the area.
