Lincoln County weathered several days of heavy rainfall with no major damage or incidents, according to Heidi Leinonen of the Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (LCEMA).
The National Weather Service (NWS) also withdrew a Flood Watch on Weds. morning that was originally scheduled to remain in effect until Weds. evening.
Lincoln County towns calling reports into the LCEMA advised that they were “all set” with no current or pending issues from the rainfall.
NWS weather observer Arlene Cole in Newcastle reported a rainfall total of 4.65 inches for the period between Sun. night and Weds. morning.
Lincoln County residents can look forward to a much nicer forecast for the rest of the week, with sunshine and seasonably warm temps moving in by Thurs. and continuing through Sat., according to the NWS.
