The just completed recount in the race for the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen has confirmed the initial results tallied on June 8 with one slight change.
The recount of the hand cast ballots has added two more votes to Ronn Orenstein’s total, increasing his margin of victory over Samuel Tibbetts to three, 269-266.
Tibbetts asked for the recount June 11 after losing the June 8 election by one vote. Orenstein and Tibbetts were contesting a three year term on the Board of Selectmen.
