Students have a higher chance for success and will be least likely to drop out at Medomak Valley High School thanks to their Student Achievement Center and Accipiter Program.
These two programs are fairly new to MVHS, just in their second year, and have yet to be adopted by other local high schools.
The alternative courses allow students a second chance, more time and the flexibility to soar like a hawk in the academic world.
Students and staff from each program will host an open house for Maine School Administrative District 40 School Board members before their regular meeting Thursday night, Feb. 5.
