Firefighters from at least three area towns descended on a Perry Drive home in Dresden this morning to battle a structure fire that devastated the private residence.
Units from Pittston and Wiscasset supported Dresden firefighters at the scene.
According to Dresden Fire Chief Gerald Lilly, the homeowner was not at home at the time the fire broke out after 8 a.m. and there were no injuries related to the response effort.
At this time there is no word on a possible cause.
