Forecasters seem to be uncertain about exactly what type of precipitation is headed for Lincoln County on Weds., but they do agree that precipitation of some kind is coming our way.
A Winter Storm Watch issued early Tues. morning by the The National Weather Service (NWS) was downgraded to a Winter Storm Advisory on Tues. afternoon.
The Advisory, which is in effect from 5 a.m. Weds. to 5 a.m. Thurs., warns of morning snowfall that will mix with or change to sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon.
Total accumulation is now forecast at 2 to 5 inches of snow and sleet, with some light ice accumulation possible, according to the NWS.
Originally, the forecast called for up to 6 inches of snow.
The Lincoln County News website will continue to follow the progress of this storm and post any additional information here as soon as it becomes available.
