Weather concerns have prompted Damariscotta town officials to postpone the planned Feb. 2 Damariscotta Board of Selectmen’s meeting until noon, Feb. 3.
Also, in light of the impending winter storm, the Damariscotta Municipal Office will remain closed tomorrow. Normally the office is open between 1-6 p.m. said Town Manager Greg Zinser.
In this case, the office will remain closed until Thursday when it will reopen at 9 a.m. and resume normal business hours.
Zinser said the rescheduled selectmen’s meeting will deal with a pared down agenda, mostly focused on business paperwork of running the town.
“We will be doing a somewhat modified agenda to get business items out of the way,” Zinser said.
A discussion on Gateway 1 initially scheduled for tomorrow night has been postponed to March 2.
In an emergency, Zinser advised people with urgent business to contact the Damariscotta Police Dept. at 563-1909.
