A Lincoln County News reporter is at the scene of a single-vehicle personal injury accident involving children, at 2849 Washington Road (Rt. 220) in Waldoboro.
Five passengers consisting of three children, (two girls and a boy) along with one adult male and an adult female, were all transported to hospitals via ambulances from Union, Warren and two from Waldoboro that were called to the scene at approximately 2:15 p.m.
According to Waldoboro Assistant Fire Chief Bill Maxwell, all three children were in car seats and buckled in.
The types and extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
It is believed the vehicle, a four-door sedan, was heading toward Waldoboro on Rt. 220 and crossed the opposing lane, left the roadway and struck a tree.
