Repair crews are making progress returning power to Lincoln County households in spite of treacherous roads and continued snowfall, according to Central Maine Power (CMP).
A total of 110 households, 79 in Boothbay Harbor and 31 in Bristol, were suffering from power outages in the late morning hours. By 1 p.m. that number had been reduced to 31, but CMP was unclear as to where in Lincoln County they were located. At that time, Lincoln County was leading the state in outages, with the only other reports being from 1 household in Cumberland County and 10 in York County.
The highest winds and heaviest snowfall have subsided, leaving steady snowfall and decreasing winds for the remainder of the day until the storm tapers off in the overnight hours, according to combined forecasts. These conditions will hopefully reduce the possibility of additional outages in the area.
The Lincoln County News will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it is obtained.
