With a vote of 26-9 the Maine State Senate accepted the nomination of Bristol resident Phil Congdon to the cabinet of Gov. Paul LePage.
Congdon, 69, of Round Pond was confirmed as the new Commissioner of the Dept, of Economic and Community Development.
