The Damariscotta Police Department would like to remind citizens of the dangers of leaving pets in parked vehicles with the recent high temperatures.
Damariscotta Police are participating in the Click It or Ticket enforcement. There will be increased patrols for operating under the influence and speeding along with seatbelt violations.
Damariscotta Police Department responded to 114 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity:
July 27, Chief Steven Drake and Officer Jennifer Mitkus are investigating a report of an assault.
July 27, Officer Adam Lewis assisted another agency in the service of blue papers.
July 28, Officer Adam Lewis and Officer Richard Alexander responded to a report of neighbors fighting at High Meadow apartments.
Aug. 2, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a complaint of a lost cell phone.
Aug. 1, Rebecca Baker, 20 of Damariscotta was arrested on a warrant for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
Aug. 2, John P. Hourihan, 20 of Damariscotta was arrested for Class B Aggravated Forgery.
Aug. 2, Daryl L. Wilson, 20 of Jefferson was arrested for Class B Aggravated Forgery.
Aug. 2, Brian J. McLaughlin, 43 of Damariscotta was summonsed to court for operating with an expired license over 90 days.
Aug. 2, Charles Adams, 24 of Damariscotta was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
