Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:
March 26, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation, and located and stopped the vehicle and gave a warning; responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Hannaford on a report of a medical emergency; and took a complaint of a passing of a stopped school bus.
Officer Devin Polizzotti took possession of found property; and responded to Schooner Cove on a report of a medical alarm.
March 27, Officer Richard Alexander responded to an attempt to locate call; and took a report of a theft from a local business; and took possession of found property.
Officer Devin Polizzotti took a complaint of threatening from a local business; and took a child custody complaint.
March 28, Officer Michael Elwell responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; responded to a report of an erratic operation on the Bristol Road; and responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to McDonald’s on a report of a medical emergency.
March 28, Officer Michael Elwell responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Cove’s Edge on a report of a medical emergency.
March 29, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to a report of an erratic operation.
Officer Jacob Grinnell assisted a citizen with a child custody issue; and assisted a citizen by issuing a permit for them to operate their vehicle to an inspection station.
March 30, Officer Jacob Grinnell responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to a medical emergency at Reunion Station Restaurant; took a suspicious activity complaint from a local business; responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Hodgdon Green for a medical emergency.
March 31, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Hodgdon Green, for a medical emergency.
Officer Jason Warlick assisted a citizen with setting up a time to retrieve personal belongings from a residence.
April 1, Officer Devin Polizzotti took a complaint of harassment; responded to Rocky Run Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; met with children at the Caterpillar Club House to show them the Police Cruiser and to hand out children’s police badges; responded to Miles Memorial Hospital to conduct a 911 check after an abandoned 911 call; and investigated a report of suspicious activity at the Damariscotta Fire Department.
April 2, Officer Jason Warlick responded to a local bank on a report of a burglar alarm.
Deputy Chief Chad Andrews assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with getting blue papers signed; and took a complaint of a theft.
March 28, Joshua M. Bagley, 31, of Newcastle, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and operating after suspension.
March 29, Eric E.M. Lawson, 31, of Newcastle, was summonsed for operating a non-inspected motor vehicle.
March 30, Leeanne M. Keenan, 20 of Bath was summonsed for speeding.
March 28, Officer Michael Elwell responded to a hit and run accident in the Rite Aid parking lot involving Henry S. Joannes, 76, of Round Pond, who was operating a 1987 Ford and Genevieve R. Mosher, of New Harbor, who was operating a 2005 Toyota.
March 29, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Church Street on a late report of an accident involving William Bradford, of Damariscotta, and Priscilla Glendinning, who backed into Bradford’s vehicle on private property.
March 29, Officer Richard Alexander responded to Mr. Mike’s Market on a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident involving Matthew C. Anderson, 24, of Bristol, who was operating a 2001 GMC and Michael A. Clarke, 20, of Jefferson, who was operating a 2004 Jeep. Anderson was parked legally and Clarke backed up and struck Anderson’s vehicle.
April 2, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Miles Memorial Hospital on a report of a two-car accident involving Phillip Gallant, 29, of Chelsea, who was operating a 2006 Ford and John Benard, 32, of Buckfield.
Damariscotta Police Department responded to 188 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time.
