July 29: Officer Halpin investigated a single-vehicle accident on Church Street. Patricia Webster, of Damariscotta, was driving a 2010 Subaru Forester. No injuries were reported.
July 30: Officer Kyle Sylvester investigated a report of a single-vehicle accident at Cappelletti Drive and Bristol Road. No injuries were reported.
July 31: Sgt. Jason Warlick responded to a two-vehicle accident on Coastal Marketplace Drive. Theresa Fullerton, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1999 Ford Escort, and Margaret Fraser, of Wiscasset, was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla.
Aug. 1: Officer Dotson responded to a two-vehicle accident at Hannaford on Main Street. Barbara Bruno, of Wiscasset, was driving a 2010 Jeep, and Theresa Meehan, of Wiscasset, was driving a 2006 Honda Pilot. No injuries were reported.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of criminal mischief on Pond Circle, assisted a citizen on Bristol Road, conducted a bail check on Elm Street, and gave a warning for speeding on Main Street.
July 27: Chief Young responded to McDonald’s on Main Street to assist with a male subject having an unknown medical problem, and assisted a citizen at the police department with a drug take-back.
Officer Halpin investigated an alarm on Main Street and took a report of lost property on Elm Street.
Sgt. Warlick assisted a citizen at the police department with questions about a citation, and took a police information report on Church Street.
July 28: Officer Dotson gave a warning for speeding on Church Street, investigated an alarm on Ledgewood Court, and investigated a report of an intoxicated male walking on Back Meadow Road.
Chief Young assisted a citizen at the police department, and assisted a citizen with questions about child safety seats.
Officer Halpin assisted a citizen at the police department, took a found property report on Main Street, and investigated a report of theft of services at the police department.
July 29: Officer Dotson assisted a citizen at the Miles Campus of LincolnHealth, and took a police information report at the police department.
Officer Halpin conducted speed details on Back Meadow Road, Church Street, and Elm Street.
Officer Halpin investigated a report of a stolen boat from the public landing. The boat was located at Schooner Landing.
Chief Young investigated a report of an alarm on Main Street.
Sgt. Warlick investigated a report of a stolen wallet and watch from the YMCA on Main Street.
July 30: Officer Halpin took a police information report at Lake Pemaquid Campground and assisted a citizen on Chapman Street.
Officer Halpin responded to Hannaford for a report of a dog in a vehicle. The vehicle was gone upon his arrival.
Officer Sylvester gave a warning for speeding on Main Street.
July 31: Sgt. Warlick conducted a speed detail on Back Meadow Road, gave warnings for speeding on Bristol Road and Main Street, assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Bristol Road, conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road, took a police information report of an IRS scam at the police department, gave a warning for a seatbelt violation on Bristol Road, took a found property report at the police department, took a lost property report at the police department, conducted an OUI detail, gave a warning for failure to yield on Main Street, and gave a warning for a stop sign violation on Biscay Road.
Officer Sylvester responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance on Main Street. There were no assaults. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.
Aug. 1: Officer Dotson assisted with a disabled motor vehicle at Church Street and Chapman Street, took a found property report on Parking Lot Lane, and assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Biscay Road.
Officer Mark Graham conducted an OUI detail and gave warnings for vehicle defects on Biscay Road and Main Street.
Officer Sylvester investigated an alarm on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester reported finding a skunk with a McFlurry cup stuck on its head walking in circles around a lamp post in the area of Great Salt Bay Community School. Officer Graham responded as backup, having secured a blanket from Miles to be used as cover. Officer Sylvester approached the skunk and with a few quick tugs was able to free the critter from the confines of the cup. The skunk retreated into the woodline. Peace was restored.
