Damariscotta Town Clerk Cheryl Pinkham has scheduled a recount June 16 to decide the race for a three-year seat on the board of selectmen.
In polling results from the June 8 election candidate for selectman for Wednesday
Candidate Samuel Tibbetts asked for the recount on Friday after losing the election by one vote. The official results from the June 8 vote indicates Ronn Orenstien won the election, posting 268 votes to Tibbetts’ 267.
The recount is scheduled to begin at the Damariscotta town office on School Street at 10 a.m.
