Fernald’s Country Store in downtown Waldoboro will host its 19th annual Christmas party from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, Christmas Eve.
This year’s party will be the last at the Waldoboro location. After 11 years on Friendship Street, the store is moving to Damariscotta next year.
Sumner Richards, the owner of Fernald’s Country Store, said he plans to close the store after the party and reopen in Damariscotta April 1.
“The party seemed like a good last day,” Richards said. “I didn’t want to close sooner and break the tradition.”
All are welcome to attend the party. Oyster stew and eggnog will be served, and local musicians will perform.
