After more than five years operating out of Brunswick, Firefly LLC has returned to Damariscotta with a new office above Round Top Ice Cream on Main Street.
Founded in 2004, Firefly is a full-service new media house offering web development, mobile apps for phones, e-commerce, and traditional graphic design for print. Firefly co-founder Ryan Shepheard offers video editing and post-production services through his affiliated Synapse Post.
Recent Firefly projects include new websites for the Maine State Legislature, the Maine College of Art, the Maine Antique Digest, and the town of Boothbay Harbor. Locally, Firefly has launched a new e-commerce system for Bremen-based Springtide Farm and an interactive inventory application for Walpole’s Mook Sea Farm.
Projects from Shepheard include edits for national outlets like Science, History, and the Smithsonian Channel. He has been lead editor on four episodes of PBS’s “NOVA” and co-edited July’s “The Bomb,” chronicling the history of America’s involvement with atomic weaponry.
