Kelsea Megan Marion Gunn and James David Downes were united in marriage on Aug. 11, at the United Methodist Church, in Friendship.
The Rev. Robert Dorr performed the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by both her parents, Kelsea is the daughter of David and Lisa Gunn, of Waldoboro and the granddaughter of the late Warren and Marion Genthner, of Waldoboro.
James is the son of Steven and Janet Downes of Palermo.
Maid of Honor and friend of the bride was Molly Macleod, bridesmaids were Julie Cote, friend of the bride, Stephanie Spencer, sister of the groom, and flower girl Sophie Spencer, niece of the groom.
Best Man and cousin of the groom was Dylan Siriois, groomsmen were David Sirois, uncle of the groom and Shawn Spencer, brother-in-law of the groom, ringer bearer and nephew of the groom was Sam Spencer.
Linda M. Dolloff Pease sang “Glass” and the Lord’s Prayer during the service. Organ music was provided by Paul Smeltzer. The groom’s cousin Gabrielle Sirios attended the guestbook. Burnham’s Bloomers provided the flowers.
The reception followed at the Rockland Elks where a dinner buffet was served. The Elks was adorned with nautical and seashell accents of decorations.
DJ Jimmy Letteney provided the music, Steve Watts of the 3-Dog Café provided the seashell four-tier cake, which was served by Melinda Genthner and Cynthia Vannah, aunts of the bride.
Kelsea is a 2008 graduate of Medomak Valley High School, Waldoboro and James is 2009 graduate of Coco Beach High School, Coco Beach, Fla.
Kelsea and James reside on Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Del., where James is an Airman First Class, with aerospace ground equipment, and Kelsea is continuing her education taking CNA courses.
