AQUACULTURE LEASE RENEWAL
The Commissioner is considering an application to renew for ten years to January 29, 2026, a 0.94 – acre lease, DAM SL, located in the Damariscotta River, Bristol & Damariscotta, held by Jonathan Dickinson for the purposes of cultivating American/Eastern oysters using bottom culture techniques.
The lessee would be bound by the terms and conditions of the existing lease. A public hearing is not required unless requested by five (5) or more interested persons. Written comments or requests for a hearing, including a statement of the reasons for the request, must be submitted on or before November 27, 2015 to the address below.

The Town of Newcastle is soliciting bids for the “Post Storm” cleanup of 1670 linear feet of sidewalk on River Road from the entrance of the LincolnHome Complex to the Fire Station for the period of December 1, 2015 to May 1, 2016. The successful bidder will be responsible for clearing this stretch of sidewalk of snow and ice within 24 hours of the end of all storm events and delivering a walking surface that is safe for pedestrian traffic. This will require the application of raw salt or calcium chloride to achieve a clear and safe walking surface.
A required bid submittal form can be picked up at the town office. Please submit sealed bids in person at the town office or mail to: Town of Newcastle, PO Box 386, Newcastle, ME04553. Bids are to be marked “Sidewalk Snow Removal Bid” and are to be received by 5:00pm November 20, 2015. Bids will be opened at the Selectmen’s meeting at the town office on November 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm.The successful candidate must show proof of insurance.
The Selectmen reserve the right to reject any/all bids.

The annual winter parking ban is from November 1st until April 1st. The ordinance reads as follows:
• No vehicle shall be parked at any time on a public way so as to interfere with snow removal or street sweeping operations
• No Vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Town of Waldoboro between the hours of 12:00 o’clock midnight and 7:00 o’clock A.M. from November 1st until April 1st. This shall not apply to physicians on emergency and professional calls.
