Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Feb. 4, Matthew R. Wills, 24, of Fort Worth, Tex. was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Boothbay Rd., Edgecomb, by Sgt. Jason Nein.
Feb. 8, Caroline R. Hyson, 23, of South Bristol was arrested for violating condition of release, on Main St., Damariscotta, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
On Feb. 4, an accident occurred on Rt. 27 in Boothbay involving Ricky B. Genthner, 33, of Waldoboro and Michael P. Gamache, 54, of Lisbon Falls. Genthner did not observe Gamache stopping in traffic and as a result, Genthner struck the Gamache vehicle. Genthner’s 2006 Datsun/Nissan sustained an estimated $3200 in damage and Gamache’s 1999 Cadillac sustained an estimated $500 in damage. Deputy Peter Kenyon was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 5, an accident occurred on Rt. 27 in Boothbay involving Tiffany Tsang, 17, of Boothbay Harbor. Tsang was traveling north when she swerved to the right to avoid an oncoming vehicle, which was in her travel lane. As a result, her vehicle rotated clockwise and went into a snow bank. Tsang’s 2003 Rover sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 6, an accident occurred on Turner Rd. in Bremen involving Ruth J. Winchenbach, 87, of Waldoboro. Winchenbach was traveling northbound and due to icy road conditions, she slid off the roadway. Winchenbach’s 2000 Hyundai sustained an estimated $1600 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 9, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Rd. in Boothbay involving Janice L. Long, 74, of Boothbay Harbor and Karin M. Crawford, 79, of Newcastle. Long was traveling southbound and Ms. Crawford was traveling northbound, when Crawford began to make a left turn into the Boothbay Animal Hospital and failed to see the Long vehicle. Long attempted to avoid the Crawford vehicle by skidding and steering to the right, but both vehicles collided and came to rest in the southbound shoulder. Long’s 1998 Ford sustained an estimated $3500 in damage and Ms. Crawford’s 2004 Chevrolet sustained an estimated $2500 in damage. Sgt. Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
